RE: SB 0428 - add to MCL 333.2253 & MCL 333.2453


Do our legislators have the authority to give the health department the authority to mandate masks? Why are they trying to give it to them, as long as they don’t mandate it on children under the age of 5?


This bill has already passed through the senate (05/13/21) and is now on the Michigan House of Representatives’ calendar this Tuesday 11/9/21 - (the bill can be found here: http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?2021-SB-0428) … call AND email them and let them know we never gave them this authority and therefore they do not have the authority to give it to the health department.
